Kiara Sky Dip Powder Review On Natural Nails Pt. 1

Hello everyone! Not long ago I published a post featuring some Kiara Sky Ombré soak Off Gels, you can find that post here if you're interested. Today, well, I can not even express how excited I am to bring this post to you! I got the chance to try one of the most awesome nail products ever. In this post I'm sharing the steps I took to having a Kiara Sky dip powder manicure on my natural nails.

Starting off I have washed and dried my hands, pushed back my cuticles and started to gently remove the shine from my natural nails.

Next I've applied a coat of the Kiara Sky Bond.

Now it's time to start the Dip process! I'll be using the base and natural powder.

I've applied the base to 3/4 of my nail and dipped into the natural powder.

Now its time to dip into your desired color/s. I applied a coat of base and began dipping into the 2 dip powders I chose for my manicure.

Here's what my manicure looked like after applying a coat of base and dipping once.

Apply another coat of base and dip the nails again! Here's what they look like after the second dip! Be sure you are painting your coats of base as neatly as possible.. this is the resin that will bond with the powder and you want to try to avoid touching the sidewalls and cuticle areas. We want to prevent any lifting just like with gels or acrylics.

After the second dip, I applied a coat of base and allowed it to air dry. Then I applied a coat of Seal Protect.

I dusted off my fingers and now it's time to file and shape the nail, and gently buff the surface. This step didn't take me long at all. In this experience I found that there wasn't a lot of bulk to remove after dipping.

Time to wash and dry my hands!

Once you've washed up it's time to apply 1 more coat of Seal Protect and wipe the nail clean. To do this I use 91% isopropyl alcohol and a lint free wipe.

Now that they're sealed and cleansed, it's time for top coat!

I've applied 2 coats of top coat allowing to air dry in between. Lastly I slathered myself in oil and called it a day! Now starts the countdown for the wear of this manicure. These should last anywhere between 14-21 days or so. They can be filled or fully removed at that point. Kiara Sky offers all kinds of videos on that and more on their website!

First Impression, this dip system is really awesome!

It does have a lot of steps, but they're so easy! I've seen loads of tutorials online and almost all of them used a tip to add extension to the nail. This made me super excited to try this on just my natural nails since that's my preference and I have to say I'm really pleased with the outcome!

If you're familiar with my blog and social media you know I love to keep some sort of sturdier product on my dominant hand. This is because I tend to over look this hand while focusing on keeping my non dominant hand looking it's best because this is my model hand for swatch and nail art pictures. My dominant hand suffers horrible breaks, wounded cuticles... you name it. In the past I've loved wearing soak off gel polishes the most. I've also tried doing my own acrylics which was always a fail. Even with pop off forms, lol. Oy! After using Kiara Sky dip powders, I might just have a new favorite way of keeping my nails safe from major breaking and look good while doing it.

The finished product feels a lot more sturdy on the nail than a soak off gel polish. It really gives an almost identical acrylic look without the stink of the monomer liquid. They're also a lot less bulky. At least they're less bulky than the sets I used to get done many, many years ago. The dip system uses a resin and acrylic powder. The resin has a nail glue type scent but it's not overpowering like monomer can be which is great because monomer tends to give me raging headaches. Another bonus of the dip system is that it can easily be removed without the use of a drill. They can be completely soaked off in less than a half hour.

ÜberChic Love & Marriage 03

Hey dolls! Today I'll be sharing a mini review and some manicures I created using the Love & Marriage 03 plate from ÜberChic!

Here's a look at this plate!

So many cute images! I love the two styles of lace. And how cute are the layered images for the tiny bee, I die a little! This also has a few wedding text images. I can't wait to create some cute wedding themed nails! I also cant wait to try out the stitched hearts and "xo" images! All of the images I tried picked up with no issues. These are some of my favorite plates etching wise, I typically have zero issues while using them. Onto the manicures!

I tried out a few of the images and came up with these fun love themed manicures!

For this pink and white Cupid manicure I started with a base of Polish 'M Devoted. I used It Girl Nail Art for my white stamping. And a mix of that white and a dusty rose BornPretty stamping polish.

I couldn't get enough of that tiny Cupid, so he's going to make another appearance in this mani!

I started this one out with a fresh white base. My background hearts are stamped with the Don Deeva rock candy jints in the shades Grape & strawberry. The rest is stamped using Ya Qin An black stamping polish from BornPretty.

This one is a current favorite!

For this Valentine's kisses mani I used 3 pink shades from the Opi Hello Kitty collection, Look At My Bow, Small + Cute = <3 and Spoken From The Heart. I smooshed these together and applied them with my stamper. I then added some white using a foam kitchen sponge. My stamping is done with Konad red.

Last but certainly not least is this marbled rose mani!

For the base of this mani. I used the latest Polish 'M Polish for Pitbulls Trio. If you haven't seen them you can find swatches in the fb group here. They're awesome and when marbled leave a really neat effect that's giving me an agate rock feel. These may be sold out but I guarantee that she has more amazing polish in her shop! My stamping is done using It Girl Nails white stamping polish.
