Hello everyone! Tonight I'm back with part two, my thoughts on the new FingerPaints treatment line. I'm going to try to keep these short and to the point. Let's get started!
Dry to the touch in one minute
Definitely hardens the nail. Perfect for those with thin really weak nails.
If you have dry brittle nails (like myself) you might use this once every few days. I wouldn't use it more than that for fear of my nails becoming overly hard and potentially having a nail snap off. *cringe*
This one is definitely meant for those with thin super weak and super bendy to the point of weakening and ripping.
Gel like base coat
This one took a little over a minute to be "touch dry"
I like this one a lot. It's nice and thick without being too thick, almost syrupy but not stringy if you apply it in the three stroke method, if that makes sense. I change my polish so often that I can't really give you a wear time on this one. The strugggleeeee for me is real you guys. Sorry lovelies!
Grab it base coat
Dry to the touch in a little less than a minute! It's definitely slightly sticky. One of the first I wanted to test ! I tested this one out on my kiddo. She prefers to wear the hell out of a mani. She's 14 and super proud of her manicured fingers. She got a fresh mani on sunday the 15th, 4 days later and her mani was still looking great. I only had a split second to give them a look over before she hopped out of the car for school. Her mani included Grab it base, 2 coats of color, stamping, topcoat. I wish it had been longer but 4 days is a pretty good start imo.
Smooth over Ridge filler
Dry time was around a minute and a half, I touch tested at a minute and had slight finger prints that almost totally self leveled back out, I didn't touch very hard to begin with or anything just an observation lol. I don't have very many ridges, but from looking at how it sits on the nail I think it would be perfect for someone with slight ridges. If your nails have ridges that are deeper you might need two coats. This dries in the same milky shade as in the bottle making it great for a matte natural nail look.
Gel like top coat
Dry to the touch in ughhhh.... Definitely not a fast drying topcoat, not that it ever claimed to be. Fast forward 15 minutes... If I pressed hard enough I could still slightly dent it. It's glossy and slightly thick like gel but the dry time is killer, I've heard worse horror stories already.
The first time I tested this I had no issues. It dried rock hard in 5 minutes. I'm not sure if it's issue is certain polishes or body chemistry. Or even room temperature, so frustrating.
Does this one work with stamping? I was asked to try this out and my results were: No, it definitely pulls the image causing streaks.
Well there are some definite hits and misses. I'm super sad about the dry time of the gel topcoat because the base coat is good. I hope I see others be able to work with it in hopes that maybe I just got one of the bad bottles. My faves are the Gel Like Base Coat & the Grab It base coat.
I hope you found this post helpful.
Unit next time!

*Disclaimer
I did not take photos of the treatments on the nail because it would literally just be some shiny naked nails for the most part.
I did try all of the treatments and these were my results on my nails. Oh and also one on my kiddo! Everyone's body chemistry is different and results may vary.
