Neutrogena Hydro Boost water gel

Hello! I hope you're having a good day or night. I thought I'd bring you a quick little beauty review. Today I'm going to talk about the Neutrogena Hydro Boost water gel that I received compliments of influenster for review.

I was really excited when I found out I was getting this. I love neutrogena and I already use their products in my facial routine as it is so this was like a cherry on top!

I had been having a hard time finding a moisturizer that worked for me. I have combo skin. I find a lot of moisturizers leave my face oily. Or they would seem to break down my make up and make splotches of shiny oily spots. I don't want to be overly matte and dry, but I definitely don't want to be a hot shiny oily mess either. I also had issues with some that would leave my face slightly irritated. Maybe I have sensitive skin and just didn't know it!
I'm glad to say when I first used hydro boost, it left my skin hydrated, soft, and not the least bit oily or irritated. It's light and refreshing and is scented but not overwhelming. It absorbs like a complete dream. I've been using this for about two weeks now, alone and under make up. I think this might be the product that's been missing in my life. I really enjoy the fact it's not an oily cream. Oh, I also appreciate that it's not sticky! I was worried it could be since its a gel type product. I can't say enough good things about it!

Hydro Boost is recommended for all skins types and may be applied morning or night!

Until next time!

  1. I also love Neutrogena products. Sounds to me like you do have slightly sensitive skin.
Finding something that works for you is KEY. I love Love and Lotus facial moisturizes and also Ouish day and night cream if you are looking for an indie product as well.

  4. I used a product like this in the mid-90s when I had oily skin and loved it! Now that I am approaching middle age, I've turned into a lizard and need thicker goo, lol.

Neutrogena also had a product called Hydro boost gel cream, maybe that would be worth looking into!

  7. Do you wear it under makeup ever? That's my beef...I can't find a good moisturizer that soaks in and lets me put my makeup on after.

    1. Yes I have! I wash my face as normal, use my pore refiner, then hydro boost, wait a couple minutes and onto my primer and foundation. It wears well for me.
