BornPretty Gel & Magnetic Gel & BP holo Review!
2:45 AMHi friends! I hope you’re doing well! I have to admit I’ve been on the struggle bus lately. To brighten my mood I tested out my recent goodies from BornPretty store and I’m here to tell you all about them! In this post I’ll be sharing my swatches and thoughts on 3 items. Two types of soak off gel and a bp holographic polish. Let’s get started!
First up is the Born Pretty Soak off Gel in the shade BP-04 from the rose gold collection. This is a soft neutral soft peach creme.
The formula is nice on this one. I achieved my preferred opacity at 3 thin coats. I topped this with a coat of no wipe top coat. Each coat cured in 30 seconds and left a slight tacky layer. Over all not a bad polish at all. I've got a couple of similar shades that lack the thickness and opacity of this one.. I like it!
Next we have the Magentic cat eye gel! This one is shade Bp-05.
This is my first magentic gel polish. I also used the born pretty magnet to achieve this look. I applied a thin coat and cured it for 30 seconds. I carefully applied a second coat and held the magnet a few millimeters away from my nail for around 20 seconds and then I cured it for another 30 seconds. I also topped this one with a coat of no wipe top coat. I really love the effect of magnetic polish. I definitely need more in my life.
Next is the whomp whomp fail of my samples. This is the born pretty holographic polish. While it’s amazingly stunning..... this polish has to be one the most horrific smelling polishes that I’ve ever used. If you’ve ever used a bp stamping polish you’ll know they have a plastic-ish type of scent. I can handle those no problem, they’re actually some of my favorites. But this holo is like 10x the strength of those. I toughed it out to get the swatch done but if you’re sensitive to smells please beware and do not try this line.
The formula on this is similar to the original finicky type of holos. You have to let each coat completely dry down and use a very light but fast strokes or you will pull up the first coat leaving patches of bare nail. I really wish this one wasn't such a stinky shade. I really love the finished look. If you know of any similar looking, please don't hesitate to let me know!
Well that's the end of this review 2 out of 3 good products isn’t too bad right?

I love these. I feel like I'm late to the party with magnetic polishes. This one is stunning!
ReplyDeleteOmg, why did the most gorgeous one have to be the most foul smelling? It's such a shame because it's beautiful.
ReplyDeleteWhomp. No go on the smells
